South London Girls Football League is back for its second year!! After a hugely successful trial year, the central venue U7s (Year 2 in Sept ‘26) Girls Football League will be back from September 2026, running every Sunday from 13th September to 28th March, with breaks during the Half-Terms and School Holidays. In total, there will be 20 game weeks during this period. The league remains unique in its offer of developmental central venue 3v3 league football for U7 girls.
The games will take place at 11am on a 2G all weather pitch at Colfe's School, SE12 8AW.
The Under 7 league will be a 3v3 (no goalkeepers) format with a maximum of 4 players per team. The games will be 4 x 10 minutes with each player taking a break for 1 quarter (if there are only 3 then they will play the whole game).
The players and games will have a referee/game manager overseeing them and do not need a coach, allowing them the freedom to discover football and understand the foundations of the game in an empowering environment.
Players can join as a team or as individuals or a small group that can be placed together in teams. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PART OF A TEAM OR CLUB TO BE A PART OF THE LEAGUE. You can, however, join as a team or request to be with friends if only a couple of you are signing up.
The season will cost £200 per player (reduced to £150 for all players that register before 30th June). The cost includes three festival days after the season in April, May and June.
If you have any concerns around affordability, we do run a bursary and accessibility scheme, so please contact the email below to enquire

Why?
NXT Ladder Up is a South-London based charity committed to removing barriers to access for young people in sport, art and education. Ballet is a traditionally exclusive sport which can be expensive, hard to access and highly specialist. However, it can be so beneficial in supporting young people’s coordination, strength, emotional intelligence and collaboration skills. We are hugely grateful to London Marathon Foundation for funding 2 years’ worth of ballet sessions, so that we can deliver them for free for children aged 4-11 in our schools and communities.
Join us on the 7th June 2026 for our completely free U7s and U8s Girls Football festival! The day will be a celebration of grassroots girls football and the first season of London’s first central venue U7s South London Girls Football League at Colfes Leisure Centre.
The festival will run from 11am-12pm on 7th June 2026 on the 2G All Weather Astroturf at Colfe's School, SE12 8AW. The girls will play some fun warm-up games and then move into round-robin games refereed and managed by our NXT Level SLGFL team. U7s will play 3v3 and U8s 5v5 on the other end of the astro. Both sets of games will mimic the format that next year’s league will take, so it is a great opportunity to give the girls a taster of what next year could hold in store for them and enable them to meet new friends and fellow players.
We will be doing a presentation and prize-giving for the first cohort of U7 girls after the matches, which all attendees are welcome to watch and support. There will also be an opportunity to purchase your early-bird sign-ups to next year’s leagues on the door!

NXT have provided us with consistently high quality provision across the year. They have engaged and developed pupils across the key stages during term time and provided hours of fun on holiday camps. If you can get them into your school...do it!

I'd like to thank the NXT coaches for the brilliant work they do in putting this on free of charge. My son and the others who attend love it and it is a great community endeavour!
