NXT Ladder Up

Charity Number: 1215627

Access

The first step on the Ladder Up.

Accessible sports, arts and educational activity for young people, focusing on the development of skills, attitudes and attributes regardless of socio-economic status.

‘Process’ students mentor those on the ‘Access’ scheme, creating interconnected pathways centred on social responsibility and collaboration. In turn, they earn funded qualifications and participate in programmes to develop soft skills and employability, building a sense of purpose, agency and self-esteem.

Process

Success

Equipped and enabled, mentally and physically fit, Ladder Up graduates enter the world of employment. Through NXT Level and our partners, our young adults are given employment opportunities and supported to be entrepreneurial, socially aware and purpose-driven.

PROJECTS

Fuss Free Football

Completely free football sessions for boys and girls aged 5-12 in Beckenham every Saturday from 9-10am. A great opportunity for beginners to try football in an accessible, fun and relaxed environment or for more experienced players to build their confidence and get some practise under their belt. The programme is run by our dedicated team of young aspiring coaches, all of whom have come through our Ladder Up pathway. Go to our ‘Store’ page to book on.

Ladder Up Ballet

A completely free ballet project for primary-aged children coming to Harris Primary Academy Crystal Palace in May 2026 and open to the local community. Funded by London Marathon Foundation and delivered by specialist ballet instructors, this project will make a traditionally exclusive art form accessible for young people who might otherwise face barriers to access.

Our Eras Tour

An intergenerational programme inviting older adults in care homes or hospices to step back through the decades and explore the music, dance, fashion and cultural stories of the 1950s-2000s led by BRIT school graduates qualified in Applied Drama techniques. It culminates in a joyful show-back created by the participants themselves. It is all about creating an inclusive space to reflect on cultural memories and the passing of time while encouraging social interaction, active movement and intellectual stimulation.

Ladder Up x 2Simple #EduFootyAid

Ladder Up have teamed up with 2Simple to deliver the EduFootyAid national charity football initiative for the education community. All proceeds go to Mind, the mental health charity, and Ladder Up, who provide developmental activity in sport, the arts and education for those who face barriers to access.

The initiative has already raised over £15,000 for Mind and is open to all men and women who fancy a kick-about. If you are a school or educational institution and you are interested in setting up your own event for your local educational community, please follow the link below!
